Job Description

Okanagan Staffing is seeking a fully licensed Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic with a valid B.C. CVI Inspector License to join a highly skilled team of professionals.
This is a senior-level, hands-on role working on transport trucks, trailers, and mixed fleets serving construction, forestry, freight, and agriculture industries with the role located in Vernon BC.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct CVI inspections per CVSE standards
  • Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with CVSE and company safety protocols
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors on timelines and estimates
  • Maintain a clean, professional workspace
  • Mentor apprentices and contribute to team skill development

Ideal candidate will be organized, detailed, vigilant, and accountable to meet the highest of standards for all customers.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Certification in Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty
  • Valid B.C. CVI Inspector License
  • Minimum 3 years of independent work on commercial units
  • Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 preferred)
  • Own professional tool set for heavy-duty work
  • Strong knowledge of CVSE standards and compliance
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Preference will be given with an individual with experience in welding/fabrication and fleet maintenance knowledge.

  • Diagnostic experience (ABS, hydraulics, emissions)

Up to $50.00 per hour based on experience. 40-hour work week Mon to Fri.
