Job Description
We’re looking for a hands-on Property Manager to care for a private 5-acre lakefront estate in Salmon Arm, BC. You will serve as the family’s main point of contact, ensuring three homes and the grounds are well kept, emergencies are handled quickly, and projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Property Care: Oversee keeping three homes clean, safe and in good working order.
- Grounds and Garden: Arrange and check landscaping, lawn care and seasonal tasks to keep outdoor areas looking their best.
- Lakefront Upkeep: Inspect and maintain docks, boathouses and shoreline features.
- Contractor Coordination: Hire and supervise contractors for repairs, improvements and regular maintenance.
- Emergency Response: Be ready to handle urgent issues—like storm damage or equipment failures—and bring in specialists when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing homes or properties
- A practical, attitude and good problem solving skills
- Strong organization and time-management, able to juggle several tasks at once
- Friendly, clear communication and the ability to maintain privacy and discretion
- Valid BC driver’s licence and own transportation
- BC residents preferred; on-site housing is available
- Proficiency in MS Suite
Contract Details
- Role Type: Independent Contractor, long-term
- Pay: CAD 35–45/hour (depending on experience)
- Hours: Flexible, with busier periods in spring and fall
- Perk: Accommodation on the estate, plus a peaceful lakeside setting
